Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare standardizes with resident engagement solution, CATIE

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA–Status Solutions today announced that longtime customer, Redstone Presbyterian SeniorCare, is standardizing with the self-service resident engagement solution, CATIE (Communication and Access to Information Everywhere).

Redstone has been a true Status Solutions partner since 2010 when they standardized with SARA (Situational Awareness and Response Assistant) to improve communication, service and workflow. With a vision to be difference makers and world changers in one’s life plan, Redstone continues to transform the resident experience with the implementation of Status Solutions’ CATIE in-room portal.

CATIE is an always-on, in-room communication and self-service software and introduces an efficient way to keep residents informed of community happenings, while keeping staff informed of resident’s needs on a daily basis.

The CATIE portal establishes a link to the community and the world beyond digital isolation. Since 2009, this solution continues to enhance the daily lives of residents through its functions such as an intercom, message center, electronic bulletin board, customized radio station and concierge. This enterprise solution enables communities to deliver digitized content and endless self-service options, giving residents access to information and services they want while keeping staff informed in order to provide the highest quality of care.

In 2018, Redstone took their partnership with Status Solutions a step further by implementing CATIE in their 135-bed community located in Murrysville, PA. After six months with CATIE, Redstone made the decision to standardize and deploy the solution within their remaining two sites located in Greensburg, PA, and North Huntingdon, PA.

“Our goal is to provide a solution that residents, regardless of age or proficiency with technology, can pick up and easily find the information they want/need. Which is why when creating and continuing to innovate with CATIE, we have a ‘resident-first’ approach to everything we do. The more residents engaged with CATIE the more communication and information staff receives to provide quality care,” Mike MacLeod, Status Solutions President and CEO, explained.

“The CATIE system is incredibly user friendly. Residents with no experience using technology have engaged and use the system daily. It has greatly improved communication between residents and staff and has connected our community to each other in a unique way,” said Vicki Loucks, VP and COO.

Campus Director Amy Light added, “Residents send me photos of events and ask me to share them on the CATIE system for everyone to enjoy. Now, when a resident has something on their mind, they don’t have to wait until I’m in the office. They just email me on the spot. It’s been fun and has been a positive experience for us.”
