Smarter, not harder
I will never forget the first time someone said “work smarter, not harder” to me . . . and to be honest, it changed the way I approach everything. To this day, I still consider this phrase to be critical in the way I look at technology. Why, what, where, when and how can we use technology to improve the things we do? Just because something gets easier or doesn’t take as long as it used to doesn’t mean we’re not working hard. We’re just working smarter.
For example, SARA’s eMessenger is a universal tool that can facilitate an endless number of outcomes. One application that comes to mind is improving the way in which Facility Directors and their teams respond to critical alerts. Whether it’s HVAC, fire, access control, security, water delivery, and any other system that Facility Directors are responsible for they each have their own manuals and troubleshooting steps that are necessary for any issue resolution. When I look at large companies like Chase, Nationwide, A.G. Edwards (now Wells Fargo) and others that manage huge corporate complexes I often think about how many inefficiencies exist in day-to-day operations. For example, if a critical event occurs in an HVAC system how and where is the Facility Director going to be alerted? Will they need to walk across the complex to determine what the alert was? Will they need to walk across the complex to grab a manual on how to fix an issue? Will the time spent traveling lead to more damage to the effected system?
What if they could leverage technology deliver meaningful alerts to mobile devices? Wouldn’t this cut down on the time it takes to respond to a problem? What if they could leverage technology to be notified of a critical alert AND be given directions on how to resolve the issue . . . perhaps even being sent the specific manual or guide that they normally would have to walk to their office to view? Utilizing SARA’s Integration Toolset and SARA’s eMessenger, users can deliver alerts to mobile devices with meaningful information. SARA helps to free up lost time allowing us to focus on what matters.
Use SARA. Be more efficient.
