Fires happen

January 25, 2012

“More than 20 horses were killed in Lafayette Township, N.J., when a predawn fire engulfed the barn they were stabled in on Saturday, the New Jersey State Police said.”

“The horses, mostly show horses that were boarded at the stable by private owners, died inside an indoor arena with a tin roof and walls where their stalls were located”, said Arthur Hahn, who owns the farm, Heritage Acres, about 55 miles northwest of New York City.

This is such a tragedy.  With awareness and alerting from SARA loss of life, business, and convenience could have been prevented.

There are 297 horse boarding farms registered at www.horseboarding.com .  There are over 10 million horses in the US.  There are over 900 horse farms in Florida.  Who would think of Florida as horse farming country?  The horse industry is a major industry in the US and includes racing, showing, breeding, boarding, farming,  and horse for personal use.

SARA can provide differentiation for the horse industry business owner and provide awareness to protect against a variety of losses – theft, fire, unlocked doors, temperature monitoring, and more.  SARA can offer peace of mind to not only the business owner but the horse owner alike when boarding their family pet.
