Situational Awareness as a concept is constantly evolving, and therefore SARA as an awareness engine must be flexible enough to meet the unique needs of an array of customers in various industries.

Research is being conducted to determine the most effective way SARA can leverage advances being made in various technologies like GPS, 4g-cellular, WiFi, Zigbee, etc.

The goal is true convergence of multiple endpoints via a common tool (SARA – the awareness engine).  One way to do this is by delivering information through portals, kiosks and a variety of other user interfaces.  Real-time dashboards, as well as predictive alerts can provide stakeholders in multiple industries with usable information.

Enhancements in the use of RF, IP, and telephony based controls will facilitate the development of all kinds of cool stuff.
