Long Term Care

CCRCs, Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities

Many Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs), Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Facilities have benefited from installing SARA. While the benefits from the system are similar, the reason for choosing this flexible type of technology varies based upon the individual community’s needs.

Providing Wireless Emergency Call

“Improving safety and security is a piece of it, but what appealed the most to us about Status Solutions and SARA is that it is not just about a product, it’s an overall solution. SARA gives us flexibility for the future to span the needs of our communities and the changing needs of our residents.” Director for Affiliate Services for The Kendal Corporation.

Through a simple to use text to voice engine, SARA can send voice and text alerts to in-building pagers, email and telephones, as well as to cell phones, home phones and external email. This allows both staff and residents to be notified of important events at any time, any place. Staff members can quickly address safety and security concerns or environmental problems before they turn into emergencies.

Leveraging Current Infrastructure

“We chose Status Solutions because SARA was the only system we could find that would allow us to take our environment wireless in phases, while still utilizing our existing hardware, for example pull cords.”Executive Director at Springmoor Life Care Retirement Community in Raleigh, NC.

Status Solutions has the expertise to build upon your current systems. This can include hard wired Nurse Call systems, Fire Panels, and other systems. SARA also leverages your Network investments. SARA is a network-based system that is accessible from anywhere you can access your network provides.

Enabling Broadcast Resident Communication

Alerts for community events, security alerts, scheduled activities, bus departure and medicine reminders can be scheduled and automatically sent via phone to designated residents and/ or staff members. The technology uses a “text-to-voice” capability which is integrated with the phone system. Regularly scheduled, recurring events can be entered into the system, or “Quick Messages” can be created. Quick Messages are an effective tool for last minute schedule changes or safety related information, such as inclement weather. Community personnel can easily update information and schedule or create alerts on-demand. Alerts and reminders can also be in text form and sent via email.
